Learning Support Assistant Required

Monday to Friday:    8.55am - 3.30pm

Scale C:                    Actual Salary £13,107 - £13,805 pa

Fixed Term:             Starting 4th November 2019

 

We currently require a passionate Learning Support Assistant in this all age special school for pupils with severe learning difficulties. We are a good school (OFSTED Nov ’15).

Our pupils’ needs include profound and multiple learning difficulties, communication difficulties and complex health needs. They are aged between 5-19 years.

Candidates should have a strong enthusiasm to work with all our pupils. Previous experience of working in a special needs environment is welcome but not essential. An induction programme and training is offered by the school. All we ask of you is enthusiasm, a positive ‘can do’ attitude, a commitment to support the learning of our pupils the ability to work as a member of a team, a keen sense of humour  and a willingness to learn 

 

The hours of work will be 8.55am to 3.30pm Monday – Friday (with a 30min unpaid lunch break). You will be required to take all annual leave outside term time. You will also be required to undertake some twilight training and professional development sessions after school to meet your core working weeks.
